Enthusiasm Is Energy: Unlocking the Life You’re Meant to Live

What if I told you that the energy to create the life you want is already within you?

It’s not something you chase, and it doesn’t come from external success. It’s called enthusiasm.

What is Enthusiasm?

Enthusiasm is the emotional and energetic pulse of alignment. But let me be clear—it’s not just about excitement or cheerfulness.

Enthusiasm goes much deeper than that.

The word itself comes from the Greek entheos, meaning “possessed by God” or “divinely inspired.”

And when you think about it, this origin reveals something profound: enthusiasm is what happens when you’re so connected to your purpose that it feels like life itself is flowing through you.

The Power of Alignment

But here’s the truth we often miss: enthusiasm isn’t just a fleeting burst of excitement.

It’s the energy that sustains you while you’re in the act of creating, doing, or engaging with your life intentionally.

It doesn’t matter what you’re creating—it could be a piece of art, a conversation, or the life you’re building step by step.

When you’re connected to what truly matters to you, enthusiasm becomes the invisible force that keeps you motivated and alive in the process.

And this is where I want to pause and share something personal.

Because what I’m talking about here isn’t theory—it’s something I’ve had to learn through experience.

I’ve been on both ends of the spectrum: times when I’ve felt disconnected, stuck, and unmotivated, and times when I’ve felt alive, aligned, and unstoppable.

And here’s what I’ve learned along the way: the answers we’re looking for—the solutions to our problems or the spark we’re seeking—can’t be found “out there.”

Ask Questions Instead of Seeking Answers

We spend so much time looking outside ourselves for answers, but the truth is, they can only be found by going within.

Not by finding the perfect answer, but by asking the right questions. Questions like:

  • What am I doing this for?

  • How does this align with what I truly value?

  • What belief or story am I holding onto that’s keeping me stuck?

When you ask these questions and then test what you discover through experience, you begin to uncover what truly moves you.

And when you do, you’ll find that enthusiasm doesn’t come from outside validation or quick wins.

It comes from the deep alignment between your values, your beliefs, and your actions.

Transforming Emotion into Purpose

But here’s the key: enthusiasm doesn’t have to feel like excitement.

You don’t have to be “happy” or “cheerful” to be enthusiastic.

Enthusiasm can be born out of something painful, something that angers you or challenges you.

These experiences are not barriers—they’re raw fuel. And it’s the act of transforming them into something meaningful that creates momentum.

That’s the creator’s role. That’s the artist’s role. It’s the ability to turn raw, unrefined energy into something valuable—for yourself and the world around you.

Overcoming Resistance

And this is what I’ve found to be true: if you’re feeling unmotivated or unfulfilled, it’s not because you lack creativity or enthusiasm.

It’s because something is limiting you, constricting you, or keeping you small.

It’s not always obvious at first, but if you’re willing to reflect, to be courageous, and to get curious, you can uncover the root of what’s holding you back.

Empowerment begins when you stop asking, “Why did this happen to me?” and instead start asking,

“What did this experience do to me? How did it impact me? Did it add value to who I am, or did it take something away?”

If it took something away - if it left you feeling unworthy or small - then it’s time to challenge that belief.

It’s time to ask, “What lie have I been feeding myself?”

Because anything that makes you feel unworthy, anything that convinces you you’re not enough, is a lie.

Reclaiming Your Power

And this is the work. To uncover those lies, to release what doesn’t serve you anymore, and to reclaim your power.

Because the truth is, you are already whole.

But when you’ve been told otherwise - by the world, by others, or even by yourself - that lie can keep you from seeing the truth of who you are.

But how do you reclaim your power?

By becoming courageous enough to look inward, curious enough to question what limits you, and connected enough to yourself to release what doesn’t belong to you.

The Power of Choice in Courage and Curiosity

And let me say this: courage and curiosity aren’t things you have to learn or “work toward.”

They’re not skills you lack. They are choices. Choices you can make at any moment.

The truth is, you are already courageous. You are already curious.

These qualities are part of who you are, even if they’ve been buried by fear, doubt, or the stories you’ve been told.

And if you don’t feel them right now, that’s okay. They’re still there, waiting for you to choose them.

The lie is thinking you’re not capable of these things.

But the moment you choose to be courageous enough to face what’s inside you, and curious enough to ask the right questions, you reclaim the power that’s always been yours.

Empowerment begins with that choice. Not to be fearless, but to feel the fear and still choose to look inward anyway.

When you live from alignment, enthusiasm becomes natural.

It flows from the core of who you are and fuels everything you create.

Embracing Failure with Enthusiasm

Winston Churchill famously said, “Success is your ability to go from failure to failure without the loss of enthusiasm.”

Success is your ability to go from failure to failure without the loss of enthusiasm.
— Winston Churchill

And this quote captures the balance perfectly.

Enthusiasm doesn’t mean you won’t face failure or difficulties. It means you’ll keep creating, keep moving forward, because you’re aligned with something greater than the obstacles in your way.

So how do you find enthusiasm? You start by understanding who you are at your core.

What are your values? What beliefs guide you? What experiences have shaped you, and how can you use them to create a vision for the life you want to build?

Enthusiasm comes from alignment. When your values, beliefs, and actions are all moving in the same direction.

When you know what matters most to you, the energy of enthusiasm becomes natural, even inevitable.

The Transformative Energy of Alignment and Purpose

And let me say this: when you act from a place of alignment, enthusiasm doesn’t just sustain you… it brings you fulfillment.

Fulfillment isn’t about chasing external success or avoiding challenges.

It’s about knowing, deep down, that what you’re doing aligns with who you are and what you’re here to create.

This is the power of enthusiasm.

It’s not about excitement. It’s about connection. It’s the energy of purpose in motion.

And when you create from that place, even the hardest challenges can’t stop you.

A Final Reflection

So let me ask you: what moves you? What inspires you? What aligns with who you are at your core?

When you find that source of enthusiasm, when you nurture it and act from it, you’ll find that motivation is no longer something you chase.

It’s something you live.

And from that place of alignment, enthusiasm flows like a current—carrying you forward, even through the roughest waters.

You don’t have to force it.

You don’t have to chase it.

Enthusiasm is what happens when you let your purpose lead the way.

  • What will you choose today?

  • Will you choose alignment?

  • Will you choose curiosity?

  • Will you let enthusiasm carry you forward into the life you’re meant to create?

The power is already within you. It always has been.
