Before the Mind Turns Sensation Into a Story

This is the opening episode of Involution with Veronica.

I am beginning this season not by explaining the name, but by sharing the moment that began it.

Before recording what I thought would be the first episode, something didn't go as planned. My attention was interrupted, the microphone wasn't connected, and the camera captured a real-time moment of me meeting what was moving through my body.

At first, I thought I would cut it out.

But what I almost removed became the teaching.

This episode is a spoken reflection on what happened in that moment: the pressure in the body, the impulse to explain what was being felt, the habit of trying to make sense of sensation through the mind, and the moment I recognized that the body was not asking for an explanation.

It was asking for space.

This is a reflection on attention, the first movement of breath, emotional processing, and the practice of staying close to the body before the mind turns sensation into a story.

The real-time video I speak about in this episode will be shared next.
